We organize and promote events, urban studies, lectures and workshops with the aim of inspiring, provoking and engaging the society in creating better places to live.

Urb-i is composed of a multidisciplinary group of professionals based in
São Paulo, Brazil.
We are an urban projects start-up focusing on the pedestrian and we believe in active design and walkability as a way to improve the quality of life for all. We involve society in the creation of public spaces and offer new experiences for the people to interact with their cities.
We are commited both locally and globally in three major fronts:
Inspiration, Education and Action.
Yuval is our citizen of the world urban designer! Originally from Israel with experiences in several countries, moved to São Paulo in 2011 due to his passion for huge cities. Graduated from TU Delft in the Netherlands and a Masters in Urban Design from the Univesity of Sydney, Australia in 2007. With extensive experience in master-planning and city research, he conceived the Before-After project of public space transformations. He takes care of the virtual and international part of Urb-i, in addition to the urban studies, collaborative designs and collaborators program.
Paulo is our journalist who opened his eyes to the questions of urbanism. Initially he contacted Urb-i through the Before-After project and showed interest in improving the cities. Graduated from PUC University São Paulo in 2002, where he did courses in locution and screenwriter for cinema and TV series. After 14 years in the media, he decided to experiment direct communication with people as a way to engage them in the transformation of the public space. In addition to registering our activities in videos, he intermediates the dialogue between the public, private and society sectors.
Carol is our hands-on tactical urbanist!
Graduated from Mackenzie Univesity São Paulo in 2008 and specialized in Planning and Management of Cities by the University of São Paulo. With extensive experience in landscaping and urban planning, her goal is to create more accessible and better cities, applying the methodologies of Placemaking and tactical urbanism into the projects. Ministers and develops contents of lectures and workshops related to these practices, is also responsible for strategic partnerships in Brazil and coordinates projects and urban interventions.
